Ease.io Introduces Auditor Qualifications to Strengthen Plant Floor Audit Integrity

Closes the critical loop between training, qualification, and audit execution to reduce compliance risk and improve quality outcomes

Irvine, CA – April 22, 2026Ease.io, a leader in AI-powered audit and inspection software for global manufacturers, today announced Auditor Qualifications, a new capability in the EASE platform that ensures only qualified personnel are assigned to audits, closing a widespread and costly gap in manufacturing quality programs.

Manufacturers operating under standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS9100 are required to demonstrate auditor competence. In practice, many manufacturers rely on spreadsheets, disconnected training records, or tribal knowledge to verify who is qualified to perform an audit. In fast moving plant environments, that step may get skipped, leading to audits conducted by unqualified personnel, increased risk of non-conformances, diminished confidence in audit results, and exposure to compliance failures.

Auditor Qualifications brings that control directly into the EASE workflow.

“EASE Auditor Qualifications will strengthen our audit integrity and accountability by ensuring the right people are assigned to the right audits.” Kim Wyckhuyse, Quality Manager at Magna Steyr.

Quality teams can define required qualifications and tie them to specific audits. At the point of scheduling, EASE automatically enforces those requirements, ensuring only qualified individuals can be assigned. This removes manual checks and eliminates the risk of overlooking qualification requirements under operational pressure. The impact is immediate, delivering stronger audit integrity, reduced compliance risk, and greater confidence that issues are identified accurately the first time.

“On the plant floor, we consistently saw teams doing the right things, running audits and completing training, but the connection between those steps was missing,” said John Fredrickson, Sr. Director of Product at Ease.io. “In one case, a VDA compliance review uncovered expired auditor qualifications, leading to a yearlong corrective action cycle to restore compliance. That’s the gap we set out to solve.”

For organizations using On-the-Job Training in EASE, the capability creates a fully connected system. When employees complete required training, they automatically earn the associated qualifications, which then determine scheduling eligibility. Configurable expiration rules ensure qualifications remain current, not just documented.

“If I’m going to audit the work, I need to be just as qualified as the people performing it. You can’t evaluate whether something was done right if you don’t know what right looks like. EASE Auditor Qualifications takes care of that for me,” said T. Clarke Parham, Quality Systems Manager at American Woodmark.

By embedding qualification enforcement into scheduling, manufacturers can move from reactive countermeasures to proactive control, ensuring audits are consistently performed by the right people at the right time.

Auditor Qualifications is available now within the EASE PRO package.
