Ease.io Launches Collaborative Assessments for Team-Based Manufacturing Audits Featured

New capability enables parallel audit execution across quality, maintenance, and safety teams.

Irvine, CA – July 7, 2026Ease.io today announced Collaborative Assessments, a new capability within the EASE platform that enables multiple auditors to work on the same assessment simultaneously. The capability is designed for the complex, cross-functional audits manufacturers rely on to maintain quality, ensure compliance, and drive operational excellence.

Manufacturers conduct thousands of audits each year across quality, maintenance, safety, and production operations. Many of the most critical assessments require input from multiple departments and subject matter experts, yet audit execution has traditionally been managed by a single user, creating administrative overhead and limiting collaboration.

Collaborative Assessments enables multiple contributors to complete a single assessment in parallel while maintaining clear ownership, accountability, and traceability. Audit sections can be assigned to individual team members, allowing organizations to execute large assessments more efficiently while preserving a complete record of activity and findings.

“This solves a real challenge in our inspection process. The new Collaborative Assessments capabilities make inspections easier to manage while making it easier to capture and document non-conformances without disrupting the audit,” says Wilbur Sheets, the Quality Data Strategist & Performance Management Director at Johnson Controls.

The capability also supports standardized audit execution across facilities by ensuring assessment requirements and program standards established centrally are applied consistently throughout the organization.

“Manufacturers often rely on teams to complete their most critical audits, but the audit process itself has traditionally been managed by a single individual,” said John Fredrickson, Senior Director of Product at Ease.io. “Collaborative Assessments extends the flexibility of EASE by enabling multiple contributors to participate in a single assessment while maintaining clear ownership, accountability, and traceability throughout the process.”

Collaborative Assessments extends the EASE platform, which manufacturers around the world use to manage layered process audits, quality assessments, and operational excellence initiatives. It is available now as part of EASE PRO.
